NEW REVIEWS 2011

The Mayflies brings us rock 'n roll basted with bluegrass and baked as dark as the band's native Iowa soil. With shows range from wildly energetic to beautiful and introspective in their scope, The Mayflies have been pushing the outer limits of bluegrass in the greater Midwest region and Colorado since 2001. Their live shows are rife with hot fiddling and banjo pickin', stellar 3 part vocal harmonies, driving, funky drums and bass, and blustery psychedelic electric guitar work.

With a combination of a sultry country voice and mature writing styles, Jonalee White boasts an energy and passion for country music that will draw you in and bring you back for more. Her music takes you on a refreshing journey into the heart of today's country scene. Jonalee has acquired a significant fan base performing with such artists as Dierks Bentley, Clay Walker, and Taylor Swift all over the US, as well as headlining her own tour for Armed Forces Entertainment throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. As a finalist on both NBC's Star Tomorrow and CMT Music City Madness, Jonalee was able to catch the eye of the producers of Yallwire.com, who cast her as host of her own series Long Road to Nashville. Wonderful music from the Netherlands with Conny Lee. An artist with some hits throughout Europe that has three EP's in the market, covering different music styles, from latin to country, from traditional to modern music. She covers people as Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Buck Owens, Pam Tillis and others but also sings original songs from Dutch people, as Laurens van Wessell (also producing) or Wim Pols. I would like to hear more as I sincerely believe in her rare abilities for country music, she does it perfectly.

Lilly West is one of the best singers/musicians that you can find thru Europe. She was born in Nice in 1980, and brings us a nice mixture of country music, folk and rock.  After years in the music, she found her own special style going to Austin, Texas, to record in 2008 the album "Greetings From Austin, Texas", with American musicians. It's difficult to not pay attention to her voice and music. Plenty of the best rythms in our business, this prove to be a wonderful recording with  country rock, traditional country and good honky-tonk.

The 23-year old Alaskan native Emma Hill is back with a full band album called Meet Me at the Moon, released under the moniker Emma Hill and Her Gentlemen Callers, one of the best albums under the Americana/Folk genre I've recently listened to . Recalling Whiskeytown and the Be Good Tanyas, Meet Me at the Moon offers up a host of indie folk songs and Americana odes. Old fans will be delighted with the new arrangements, which recall the best of Clumsy Seduction, but take it further with the strength of the full band sound. And the album will surely garner new fans with its inspired melodies, poignant harmonies, and remarkable lyrical insight. Emma Hill's music is intimate and confessional, recalling Jolie Holland, Kathleen Edwards, and other big-voiced, heart-on-the-sleeve songstresses. Fans of Red Molly and Easton Stagger Philips will delight in her catchy, but understated, sultry twang. http://www.emmahillmusic.com
A superb album with 13 gems from the very first song til the last one. It's a marvellous release from an excellent band. Take note of their name, One Left, because the future must be theirs. Anna Marly, Vladimir Vysotsky, Woody Guthrie, Libby Cotten, Pete Seeger... voices that ring true no matter where in the world you find yourself. There's a cleanness in folk music that's as straight as you can get. It's tradition, historical record, an oral telling, tribal, the voice of the common man. These songs come from the memories of grandma singin' and pickin' with a banjo on her knee...

Lively, soulful Americana with clever lyrics, taking the old country standards of heartache, cheatin', and drinkin', and turning out new ways of saying them. If you think you’ve heard all there is to say about heartbreak and life on the road, chances are you haven’t listened to singer, songwriter & bandleader Michael Thomason. His straight-from-the-hip songs about loneliness, betrayal and good love gone bad put a new spin on eternal country themes in a resounding twang that proudly displays the influences of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Elvis Presley. Thomason now resides with his family in the hills outside of Napa Valley, California with half the band also in California and the other half based in Germany. Visit www.michaelthomason.com or www.myspace.com/michaelthomasonband for more information. Michael latest album, 100 % Change of Tears (Comstock Rec.) is one of the best indie releases of 2010.

Thanks to albums like this one by Ray Sanders, “Funny How Time Slips Away”, time is not a thing we can forget. Time is funny when you can listen to all-time standarts with the excellent voice and country style of Ray. “Funny How Time Slips Away”, the title song for this CD, was written by Willie Nelson. Ray worked as a tenor singer for Ray Price and also was a writer for Pamper Music. Willie Nelson also was a writer for Pamper Music at this same time. The album has included 20 of all of us favorite recordings – some old, some new. There is a wide range of 18 traditional recordings and 2 bonus tracks that were recorded as movie sound tracks (Hillside Records).  www.hillsiderecords.net

Michael Lynne was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. He began playing music at the age of 9. Playing in the family band. He started playing local clubs, V.F.W.s, weddings and school dances at the age of 10. He spent most of his younger days as a bass player. Playing bass in the high school jazz band. Eight years ago started playing guitar. The guitar is his passion now. He is also a singer, songwriter. Michael has recently released his debut CD titled Michael Lynne -Don’t Let go. He wrote all the songs you will hear on this Cd.This was a project he wanted to do for a long time. The CD was recorded in Nashville at Dog Ear Studio with Jamie Laritz producing as well as Michael. Eric Brittingham (Cinderella) played bass, Mike Bailey(blackhawk)played drums, Renea Truex(Cowboy Crush) fiddle, Phil Wolfe Piano and Dan Tracey- Background Vocals. He is very proud of all ten songs. We hope everyone will enjoy his music as much as we enjoy placing it here. A very interesting release. www.michaellynne.net

The only thing Guthrie Kennard ever started early was his music career. By the age of 14, he was playing with friend and fellow musician Joe Russell in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. He left home to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, where Joe was signed with the Bill Lowery Agency, whose roster included artists such as Billy Joe Royal, Classics IV, and Joe South. In Atlanta, Guthrie met people who were successful doing what they loved to do; his path was chosen. Many of you maybe haven't heard of him, but this Texas blues and roots legend must found success with radio and listeners with the release of Matchbox, the latest of his signaturely dark and gritty Americana records. The album, released in May, rocketed to the top of the Euro-Americana charts. It is a fresh country alternative album that we highly recommend. www.guthriekennard.com

Frank Fara’s songs are perhaps best described as Frontier Americana. His singing captures our imagination and catapults us back in time to some of the most defining moments in the history of the American West. His tunes often target the turbulent decades following the Civil War, when gun toting soldiers returned home to make a living on the new frontier. Some put on a lawman’s star, as the Earps did to clean up the deadly streets of Tombstone. Others lived outside the law, like the Daltons until they were shot down in a vain attempt to rob two banks at once. Frank is a wonderful songwriter and a good singer, just the way we feel that the old trobadours must have been in the old Europe. This CD, all about the old west, is a great point of view of American story, more than John Wayne or General Custer movies you've seen. The song "Charming Billy ~ Billy the Kid" recently rode up to #3 on the European Country Music Association Top 100 Charts. Top release. www.frankfara.com

The Alan and Miller Band started in the early 1990s and continues to enjoy success today. Traveling throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, they have entertained and delighted audiences nightly. They are the kind of band you will always want for your musicial event. While listening, you can imagine yourself being in a Texas club, while enjoying your favorite beer, and listening what I consider the best music in the world. Alan & Miller is all that we expect from a live Texan club band, and more. www.alanandmillerband.com

It's a killer sound they have. The Second Wind Bandits are this kind of band that makes you feel plenty of energy. I believe this is really better a live sound band instead of a Cd, live is wheree you can enjoy the most their unique sound. But as you can't see them every day (some of us never), so why not give the album an opportunity? I have enjoyed a lot while listening and you'll do the same. This is an album I have recommend. "A Gift Of Love" isd a perfect roots/americana release and you'll find no better music for your ears. This roots rock band comes from Rockville, Maryland. They perform on this CD as if they were performing a live gig. The harmonies are excellent and all vocal performances are unique. Info at http://www.secondwindbandits.com

The Flatcar Rattlers are a raucous grimey bluegrass group with all the fixin’s. They mix up rootsy backwoods Appalachia with fast punk rock to make up a distinct new-timey sound implanted with mountain songs and murder ballads. Their high octane live shows have created a nice buzz in a short time ranking them in the top ten of Best New Bands and Best Bluegrass Bands in the Austin Chronicle’s 2008-2009 Music Poll.
"Which Side Are You On?" is their latest Cd release and it is a wonderful demonstration of what 7 excellent musicians can do together. They are creating music that will remain with us for a long long time. Visit http://flatcarrattlers.com/ for more info about them.

Martha Ann Brooks hails from Georgia state in the USA. Her brand new album, full of her own compositions, is a very nice mix of country, blues, folk, etc etc. What they call now Americana is there, from the first note to the last, it has everything in common with all genres, it has nothing in common with them as well. From the catchy sounds of "Rattlin' My Chains" or "Lately..." to the beautiful ballads like "Deliciously Lonely ", the album is a wonderful travel to Martha Ann passion, love, life, influences. She's so nice as a singer, but take this along her excellent work a storyteller, a superb acoustic guitar, a good team of studio musicians for this recording, and you will agree with me that we all need to share this lovely news with the music world. Martha Ann Brooks is here and she must have a listen!!! Visit www.marthaannbrooks.com for more information.

Billy D. Hunter is one of the best traditional country music singers in today's scene. He is a veteran of the stages and studio recordings, and thru the years we all have enjoyed of his great baritone voice and his brilliant selection of tunes. It contains 17 songs, some of them from the pen of Hunter's himself and others which are covers of country legends as Waylon Jennings or Billy Joe Shaver. This collection has been recorded in Nashville, and contains the best from Billy's new work, from honky tonk, hillbilly, blues, inspirational songs.A great recording which is a must for traditional country fans. European Kings of Hillbilly music, the Swiss band Rhythm' Train brings us their latest release, a Cd called "Bad To The Bone", with 13 tracks full of a lovely rhythm, of excellent songs, and just a demonstration of vocal and musical top abilities. Bad to the bone was released in 2008 by K-tel International (Switzerland) and Part Records (Germany), and it is a mix of old hillbilly music, rockabilly and country sounds, but never forget they are all originals by Urs Odermatt, one of the 4 members of the band. Rhyhtm' Train started playin' their kind of 40's and 50's music in 2001, and they are one of the top band sin Europe right now, both as a recording act but also with their live show, which is among the very best this old beautiful continent has seen. But they are more than just a band: it is a gathering of four like-minded friends. As gentlemen of Hillbilly they appear sharply-styled and uniformly attired to spread an infectious enthusiasm for their music amongst the audience, that is, melodious country songs, heartbreaking ballads or thundering rockabilly numbers that animate the listener to dance. www.myspace.com/rhythmtrain1

MY CD

Linda Welby is a singer, musician, songwriter and a piece of Heaven that God send to Ireland, and to the music world because He knew we need somebody with her special vision of what music needs, or better, what music should be. Stories from her album "A Story To Tell" that touch your soul, that you can feel down your skin, talking to you heart-to-heart, covering different musical genres, but being also in the original branch of irish country music. I love it, and sincerely think that there are very few albums better done that this Cd for Law Records. Visit her website at www.lindawelby.com
And like her Cd back cover says, "Linda comes from the rich musical tradition of the West of Ireland with stories to tell. These original tracks capture the unique twists of love and loss in the tapestry of life with creative musical arrangements and instrumentals in the finiest Irish tradition". Lovely...

Good Souls was formed in the fall of 2007 by Dave Isaacs and Briana Hardyman. The group gigged furiously around Nashville and across the region, releasing an acclaimed debut CD and music video before Hardyman left the group in July 2008. The self-titled debut CD received excellent reviews and airplay on Americana stations around the country....while the band no longer performs we are very proud of the CD and urge you to listen and purchase what is now "a limited edition pressing", with stellar cover artwork by Jon Raven.
“I spun your cd, and it is just a GEM! Two extraordinary voices making some impeccable harmonies, and an impressive collection of songs. A beautiful work!” -Torchy Blaine, Americana Music Director WDVR-FM, Sergeantsville, NJ
“With performances full of fire and passion and blood-stirring production, this material can stand toe to toe with any major label product out there.” -Jim Allison, Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter

Robin Salmon is an anthropologist of sorts. At times living the life of a gypsy, traveling the world, amassing the experiences it would take most several lifetimes to accumulate. From this he has developed an intrinsic understanding of what it means to be human. A base insight that somehow eludes most, perhaps due to lack of awareness or just simple indifference. It is songwriters like Salmon who help us to look at ourselves and this world in which we live with a bit more clarity. Born in South Africa, Robin Salmon came of age in a disjointed country plagued by violence and political turmoil.
Americana music, undecorated and intelligent, was a genre of music that resonated deeply with a South African refugee raised on a Texas Longhorn ranch. From this came a new body of work and Salmon’s 7th album, Gasoline. Recorded in East Nashville with some of Nashville’s most highly esteemed musicians, Kenny Vaughn, Stuart Duncan, Al Perkins to name a few, Gasoline truly showcases the poignant songwriting and rich melodies that Salmon is known for. His latest album, "Come On Home", was released in spring of 2008, and follows the steps of Gasoline, with 15 original songs that fits in an excellent way in today's country alternative way of music tradition. It is somethiong you must hear, pay attention to, and feel the emotion in the album itself. Visit www.robindeansalmon.com

Brett Hill is one of those rare phenomena that suddenly appears in the world of music. Artists who surprise you by their sweetness, its words, with songs that get to touch listeners' soul.
"The Truth Of It all" is an excellent work, plenty of songs to love and to live.
Living in a small, country town just in Tennesse and enjoying of a country way of live from his chilhood, he got the privilege of growing up on a farm and running through the hillsides of middle Tennessee all of his younger days. He's not just a songwriter and singer, as he has written two books. We truly recommend a listen to the album and a visit to his website at http://www.myspace.com/bretthillsmusic

Scout Finch is a young and very talented singer. She has been working in her debut Cd for almost three years. It was released last 2007, but it is having a great and wonderful recognition this beginning of 2008. The album is something you should like.
The songs chosen for this album are great! The songwriters are so gifted and the musicians are top-notch. Scout has been singing at festivals, state fairs, restaurants, coffeehouses, and was even the opening act for the opening act for a Merle Haggard concert.
For more information about Scout and her brilliant debut album, he lovely voice and her interesting to follow career, visit http://www.scoutfinchmusic.com

Stacy Mitchhart presents his last release, "Gotta Get The Feelin Back Again", which was released 7/24/2007. This is also an interactive CD! Stacy's latest is one of those rare recordings where the artist has his own distinct voice yet is able to play so many different styles: blues, funk, horn driven soul and touches of rock. Then throw in two deep, soulful covers of classic "rock" songs, "Black Dog/Whole Lotta Love" and "Whipping Post" and you have a truly fine recording. Mitchhart's original material is equally good and one can hear the varied influences of Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, and Delbert McClinton in his music. I really like his voice and the song arrangements as well. Definitely give this one a listen. - Brett Fleming

Jeannie Romeo and Alice Lockwood have released their third cd of originals entitled “The Ladies Love Country.” Romeo and Lockwood recorded their third CD at two studios in Nashville. This exciting country duo is comprised of two talented performers and song writers who have individually enjoyed extensive musical careers.  The music tracks were done at Water Shed Studios with Arvel Bird coordinating the project along with the ladies who did much pre production work on their new CD. All the songs were written by the duo or individually, and Jeannie and Alice say they are so proud of their latest effort. Visit Romeo and Lockwood's website for more information about this wonderful and excellent recording.

Change of Key is an excellent trio from the Netherlands formed by Daniëlle Poot, Marijke de Jong and Joop de Jong, originally working together since 2001. Their album is entitled "Home is where my heart is", plenty of good sounds and musicians, one of the greatest joys of the European Country music scene of the last years. The album is full of originals, making us sure that we are not longer just the replay of the american scene, but also we can create and export great country music. We should be proud of Change Of Key.

Artist: Laura Bell - Album: Longing For A Place Already Gone - Label: LAB.

Laura Bell! Fantastic music, charming voice, nice image, wonderful lyrics and an incredible feeling. Excellent from the pure country music rhyhtms to somewhere close to rockabilly music. Material is really interesting and we should take a look on this lady to follow her career.
It's a pleasure to discover a new star in the making. Hope she is..

Artist: Frank Carlier - Album: Americana 101 - Label: JRS Music - Americana Music
Value: 7.5 about 10 - Contact: www.frankcarlier.com
Someone out there would like to call this album another "roots" release, or "Americana", or ... Frank delivers music, and I don't want to label good music. Yeah, his lyrics are down to Earth and just somewhere between your heart and your soul there's the answer to your feelings while listening to the Cd. It is dark, but has more light than many of the commercial country releases. Lovely release with a superb songwriter and story-teller.

AMY ENGLAND: Nantucket To Nashville Artist: Amy England- Album: Nantucket to Nashville - Label: AE Music - Country/Americana
Value: 7.5 about 10 - Contact: www.amyengland.net
I have enjoyed this album from the very first time I got it on my desk. Played the Cd just saying for myself, "ok, a quick listening and go home", but what was quickly was the interest I had for this cd recorded in Nashville, with an exceptional songwriting, her songs caught my ear.
Amy has a rich songwriting talent with a warm & beautiful voice. Another of the true folk, roots or Americana wonderful releases..

Artist: Judy Kanyo- Album: Not What I had In Mind - Label: JK - Country
Value: 8.5 about 10 - Contact: www.judykanyo.com
It's a pleasure for me to review the last Judy's album. Seems to me that finally she has found her way, her sound, her true style in country music. I think she has done it right this time. She's been under other's reigns in the past that haven't found the real Judy or their music. I have found areal, natural, wonderful sound, singing better than ever. Nice selection of songs, good band, excellent harmonies. This is the real Judy, no one better than her.

OLDER REVIEWS

Jenny Casey's "It's About Famn Time" is an excellent release. She says she's got a dream in her life, being a country singer / songwriter. Certainly she is. We've got a dream too. To have a momma like her playing just for us. Well, today's technology makes this easy for us. Jenny is my kind of mama (even I'm older than her, no doubt about it).
Lovely music, nice written tracks, they connect with everyone, having something great for everyone, and making everyone know what's really inside of country music, and what country is all about.
Jenny's music can be found thru Cdbaby, Tower Records or Amazon, but better if you check her website at www.jennycasey.com  (cheapest and autographed album!)
Ok, and she's also a very very beautiful mom, but... who cares about this?

JC Andersen is not a new singer/songwriter in country music scene. He has appeared with top country stars such Lonestar, Crystal Gayle, Brad Paisley, Joe Nichols or LeAnn Rimes among many others. "When The Tide Rolls In" is his new project. We should qualify it as modern country-pop with lots of rocking style on it. All of these made with a very professional sound and mature, captiviting male country voice. The Tennessean doesn't forget the honky tonk on it, and as well as on the sounds you'll find it on the lyrics and the true spirit of a young talent that delivers an excellent recording. His debut album has 10 songs. Lots of people have great singing voices, but very few can stand out in the crowd. J.C. Andersen, from Lakeland, Florida and now a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, is one of those few! At age 21, J.C. has established his own unique and intense style of singing like no other. If its pure entertainment you're looking for, look no further, when J.C. takes the stage he captivates the audience. His high-powered performance makes him one of country music's most dynamic new talents. Visit www.jcandersen.com

A passionate and mature voice comes along with 12 great tracks on this "Nothing Else To Do", the album by young Shelby Downing. She has a very wonderful vocal style which captivates the listener from the very first word til the last, and remains on your head for a long time. If you haven't heard Shelby yet, grab onto your seats and experience an amazing new voice in country music as Shelby's voice explodes through your speakers with the excitement of someone doing what they were born to do. With a long way to go from now, this little young girl (13 years) can take this world by storm, as other teenagers did in their time. Shelby's current single, "Listen To Your Heart" off of her upcoming project "Nothing Else To Do" has been getting rave reviews from radio stations across the world. Shelby has been raising eyebrows for quite some time now. Her voice is a subtle mix of country and soul... her deep, moving tones will certainly take you by surprise! Visit www.shelbydowning.com for more information about this gemn.

Johnny Bulford has released an excellent Cd, entitled "Southern Thing". The album has a total of 13 songs that will fit wonderfully in today's radio scene. Johnny is a singer/songwriter and he's a country-pop artist. Johnny was a Florida finalist in the 2003 Colgate Country Showdown, and missed the 'big prize' by just a few points. He performed a jaw-dropping performance in the 2004 Colgate Country Showdown and earned himself first place. He won the Florida state title in November 2004.
Johnny Bulford received the 2004 Award for Best New Performance Artist/Writer, in the category of New Country, for the Southeastern United States Region given by the IMAA. The combination of Johnny's soulful voice, passionate songwriting, personal integrity and honest work ethic make him a rare and refreshing addition to the country music community.
You should visit his website at www.johnnybulford.com and you'll agree that his "Southern Thing" album is as good as, or better, than anything else coming from Nashville thesed days.

Texas Lightning is a country music band from Germany. This quintet has everything it takes to be hip and old fashioned at the same time. Apart from anything else, they're well-dressed, they're true musicians and they're friends. On the one hand, their repertoire includes material from country legends like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe or Tex Williams. On the other hand Texas Lightning shows us that a country heart can beat in almost every great song. Classics like "Highway to Hell", "Like a Virgin", "Kiss" or "Dancing Queen" are reborn with a trace of saloon and gunpowder. Last year the furious five released their first longplayer and presented themselves on an extensive tour of Germany. Only half a year later the Texans now win the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with their selfpenned hit "No No Never". This makes Texas Lightning the very first countryband in the history of europe's most important song contest.

Didi Perry's second album was recorded at Merit Studio and The Song Cellar in Nashville, Tennesse and at Thunder House Productions in Alberta, Canada. This collection includes original traditional and Didi's favorite cover songs. The first single, Are You Foolin' Me Cowboy, has been a mega-hit in Europe having been the number one song for four weeks in a row on our European Country Music Charts. But the album is plenty of hits to follow.
After operating her own business for 10 years and recording her first album, Didi was introduced to Roy G Ownbey. Roy and Didi, with the help of Ross Allen at Hillcrest Records decided to record a second album called “A Simple Country Girl”. The second album turned out to be so great Didi decided to give her music the full time attention it deserved and sold her business and retained her manager and booking agent David Brodsky with Dasbro Enterprises.
Shelby Downing's New CD out in RLS Records Nashville is called "Nothing Else to Do", available at Amazon.com and CDBaby.com. Shelby's first single released on Hillcrest will be on the next release from Hillcrest. Shelby's website is www.shelbydowning.com

Father and son duo from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area have teamed up to recorded a top notch Honky Tonk Shuffle album. There have been lots of music in this genre recorded by others, but this one is probably "top rung" and while most are covers, they've never been performed any better. Instrumentation includes nick, nick fiddles, cryin' steel guitar, electric lead, keyboards, bass, drums and harmony vocals. DEAN a 1970'S alumni from DEWEY GROOM'S LONG RANCH in Dallas knows his business when it comes to Texas Honky Tonk while his son WILL who started performing at the tender age of 11 appearing on the popular 1970's SHOOTIN JIM NEWTON TV program out of Dallas and later appeared with some of the top names in country music learned the craft well & currently he plays drums for the legendary HANK THOMPSON.  A superb country/honkytonk/Texas Shuffle album performed by vocalists and pickers that know how it's done. . Don't pass this one up.

This album is the self-titled release by Canadian band Neon Blue. The Cd can be sampled or purchased online thru www.cdbaby.com/cd/neonblue
Neon Blue is frontered by brothers Mark and Sean Doney, along with 3 other veteran musicians and performers. Thru several years this band has played many live venues. The number of their fans has grown thru the years. This album is their debut release. All songs ae original by Mark Doney. In Canda they have been compared to the music by the Eagles and even the legendary Good Brothers. They are good in their own, and we recommend a visit to their cdbaby website. Take a listen for yourself and you will also embraced by thei excellent music and great work.
Nelson and the Stagecoach arrives from Scandinavia. Along with the UK, Ireland, Holland and maybe Swizertland, the north of Europe is maybe the perfect place for country music and its local talents. It is not strange to find a band with as much talent as good music. "Winners & Losers" is its second Cd, more professinal than the very first, talking about the recording facilities, but remaining true to their music and believing in what a real sound should be. As they say on their website, "This is a journey of songs where you’ll meet different kinds of people, situations and places. Some from the old 1900th century and some of today. The world has always been the same, it has only changed faces. Like the wheels on the stagecoach, the world keeps on spinning, and we’re all passengers with different destinations. Take a cup of coffee at Suzy’s, throw that Big City Cowboy out of town and take that last ride in another mans dream. The choice is yours….. Come along on a journey with Nelson and the Stagecoach." All music and lyrics are written by B-O Nelson. Songs and music with a very positive reaction. www.stagecoach.se

The fourteen songs on the album are a wonderful mix of blues-pop and hardcore country that reaches back to the heart & soul of country music's early days. Tresa Street's singing style while firmly rooted in the country music genre has the undeniable broad appeal of a true crossover artist. Her style can be described in many ways, cliché it definately is not. Call it "electic country" if you need a label. Tresa reaches out for songs that obviously touch her deeply. Visit her website
http://www.tresastreet.com/. If you are tired of the same old “sound alike” singers that only copy and imitate others, you will love Tresa Street. She is as original as they come, with a classy voice and a style that is all her own. Tresa is a southern girl that writes, sings and performs.

Forty5 South is more than an arbitrary band name; it’s the road that ties the band together, quite literally. It is highway 45-S that runs through the guys’ collective home of Jackson, TN that keeps them connected. In fact, it all started off 45-S in the little sports bar, Jimmy D’s. It was there at open mic nights that band founder and lead vocalist Ashley Bowers had the idea to start a country band. “No one plays country in Jackson.” With that, he recruited friends and locals to form a band as influenced by country as it is by rock. The recruited band is composed of vocalist Bowers, 22, drummer Jonathan King, 26; bassist Seth Gordon, 21; guitarist and mandolin player Phillip Lemmings, 24; and guitarist Justin Tapley, 24. Their dynamic live show drew the attention of the AFE (Armed Forces Entertainment) group who took the band to Asia, Guam, The Marshall Islands, Korea, and Japan to entertain the overseas troops. The guys played twenty-eight shows in forty days (September-October2003) and got a crash course on how to become a road band. Lugging their own equipment from airport to airport, they came out of the trip banged up but miraculously in tact (both the guys and the gear.) New Englander Wayne Warner has a refreshingly down-to-earth spin on the current commercial country sound. He's on the slick side, but doesn't delve into torturously overwritten psychological epics (ala Kenny Chesney or Tim McGraw...), but prefers to keep it melodic and simple, with uptempo country-rock tunes, songs about broken hearts and an optimistic search for love. In many ways he reminds me of old Eddie Rabbitt and Eddy Raven (indeed, before I looked him up online, I thought from the sound of his voice and his phrasing that Warner was from Louisiana...) This is probably too slick for the indiebilly crowd and too plain for the new Nashville scene, but for country fans looking for something nice in between the two, this disc might fit the bill. Worth checking out if you're a commercial country fan with an adventurous streak. Visit him at www.waynewarner.com

Billy Gilman is a winning survivor! Back from vocal exile to the business of making music, he introduces his groundbreaking new project, 'Everything and More,' his debut project under the Image Entertainment imprint. 17th years old (born May 24, 1988), the dynamic teenager has lost nothing but time and the new album showcases a voice that has undergone a welcomed mature change. Billy Gilman makes a clear comeback with all of the charisma, youthful energy and pizzazz that made him a child star phenomenon worldwide. 'Everything and More,' is really Chapter V of Billy Gilman's career. Billy introduces his fifth recording: "I think 'Everything and More' is a more mature version of 'One Voice.' The music is fun and includes all aspects of the country genre (including bluegrass, pop, country rock, and traditional ballads) and every song is about a new aspect in my life. One song is about the trying times that I went through with my voice change and my fear that I may never sing again. Another song, 'I'm Not Me Anymore,' is about how I've grown and changed - it's my favorite. This time, I had a say in what I wanted to record and I'm so proud of this project because it's a reflection of who I am today as a young adult. I think the lyrics of each and every song create a picture - just as if you were at the movies. I really hope everyone enjoys my personal 'photo' album!" The music in its entirety was custom written for Billy by Sandy Linzer and Charlie Calello and it is a sampler of all that signifies the best of the best in country music. Producer Sandy Linzer adds, "Billy Gilman is a producer's dream. The only thing bigger than his talent is his heart." www.billygilman.com

This is the third album and to put my opinion of it in a nutshell so to speak, I think it's the very best album done so far by Rustie Blue. What's more, it also marks the first time Rustie has recorded a song she wrote. The album opens with the title song she performs as a duet with Grand Ol' Opry star and Country Music legend Whisperin' Bill Anderson. The song was co-written by Bill and Melba Montgomery, and it was an smash hit in Europe late 2004, being at the Tlop of the ECMA Top-100 Chart three weeks in a row.
